Information You Provide
A name, phone number, or address entered into a search box is sent to the third-party service that supplies the resulting search experience. Our servers do not retain a copy of those search entries. If you contact us, we receive the information in your message and use it to respond.
Automatic Technical Data
Hosting systems may record routine log information such as IP address, browser type, page requests, and time of visit. We review aggregated technical information to maintain the service and understand page use. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics or advertising measurement where used.
How We Use Information
Contact information is used to answer a request, maintain site security, prevent abuse, and diagnose technical issues. We do not build a visitor profile from searches or sell contact correspondence. Aggregated metrics may inform maintenance and content updates.
External Websites
Links lead to Delaware County, Ohio, library, court, archive, and other outside resources. Those services set their own privacy terms and data practices. Review their policies before entering personal information or submitting a request.
When Data May Be Shared
We do not disclose personal correspondence except when needed for hosting, security, a legal obligation, or protection against fraud and abuse. A service provider may process limited technical information only to operate the service.
Security Practices
Reasonable safeguards are used for the limited information the service receives. No internet transmission or storage system is perfectly secure, so avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information by email or through a third-party search form.
Visitors Under 18
This reference is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a child submitted information may contact us for review.
Data Access Choices
You may ask about, correct, or request deletion of personal information held in our contact mailbox or logs, subject to legal and operational needs. Ohio does not have a general consumer data-broker deletion statute that controls county public records; Ohio Rev. Code Chapter 1354 is a cybersecurity framework, not such a right. Records held by a Scioto Township, Delaware County, or Ohio custodian must be addressed to that custodian. Use the Contact page for a request about information we control.
Policy Updates
We may revise this policy by posting the updated text here. Continuing to use the service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
